TV
Television, the broadcasting of pictures, was developed in the 1920s by Vladimar Zworykin, Philo Fransworth, John Baird and Charles Jenkins, all working independently. In 1928 the first regular experimental broadcasts were made by WGY in New York, while the first regular broadcast service was begun by the BBC in 1936. Shortly afterwards, CBS started colour test transmissions.
